Ordination Day
On Sunday, July 3, 2022, Pastor Mark Hoffman (New Harvest Christian Life Ministries), Pastor Aubrey Beale and Pastor Anne Beale (The Ingathering), along with the elders at New Harvest (Cliff Weidel and John Wilkinson) ordained John A. Wilkinson IV, affectionately known as Jay, as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are so pleased for Jay and excited to see what the Lord has in store for him. Congratulations, Jay!
Pastor Cornelius Gill
In March of this year (2020), Pastor Cornelius Gill of Pakistan came to minister at New Harvest. The stories he shared of what God is doing in Pakistan were both encouraging and concerning. Being a Christian in Pakistan puts you at tremendous risk. Please pray for Pastor Gill and the people of Pakistan- they're beautiful people whom the Lord loves dearly.
Women's Retreat 2019
Our retreat this year was held in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The openness, honesty and trust that we shared was worth more than gold. What an amazing group of women- women who give so much of themselves, who have a heart to love and to be trustworthy, and to accept each other right where they are, without judgement. While on retreat some of us also took a short drive to the Virginia Safari Park- a drive thru park where you can feed the animals, pet them and experience them in a special, unique way. Of course, some of the animals have no concept of personal space, as you can tell by the photos!
Transition Day
On July 1, 2018 Gerry Shannon officially retired from pastoring New Harvest Church. He and Sylvia had been faithful servants for 25 years, but God had a new assignment for them. For two and a half decades, Gerry and Sylvia loved and encouraged each and every soul that walked thru the doors of their church. They taught, by example, what family looked like and New Harvest grew to be a place that welcomes everyone with hearts open wide. And as this chapter closed, with grace, dignity and the heart of a servant, they turned the church over to Mark Hoffman. Gerry and Sylvia, you showed us Jesus. You showed us what it's really like to be a part of His family. We will always be grateful for that. And we will always love you both for your generous spirits and hearts filled with love. God bless you richly as you transition to the next chapter of your journey.
Gerry and Sylvia and Costa Rica!
March 4, 2018 was Gerry's and Sylvia's last Sunday with us before leaving for Costa Rica for 3 months. God made it plain that He has some wonderful adventures prepared for them when they get there. We will miss them terribly and wanted to make sure they were blessed before taking off. Many thanks to all who came and showed their love and support for our Pastor and First Lady.
